After 7 years in the Mission District of San Francisco, Scott and Catherine of the Artist Xchange decided to close their doors (Jan 1, 2011). This was a great place for me to sell my work when I first arrived in San Francisco and help pay the rent. Scott and Catherine were the nicest and MOST ORGANIZED shop owners ever! The shop was very eclectic and had something for everyone. Where many shops and galleries in this neighborhood are inaccessible to local artists getting in and meeting with owners, Scott was very accessible, kind, unpretentious, and fair. Their taste was wide open and they sold what they liked. Goodbye Artist Xchange, you will be missed!
